Previous Roles
Gregsons Auctioneers & Valuers
Managing Director
As Managing Director of Gregsons Auctioneers & Valuers, Jack led the full-scale transformation of one of Western Australia’s oldest valuation and auction firms into a nationally scaled, digital-first enterprise. He designed and implemented a proprietary online auction platform that modernised the business model and enabled growth across mining, industrial, and insolvency asset sales. Overseeing a multidisciplinary team of 30 staff across operations, sales, finance, valuations, and administration, Jack held full commercial accountability for performance, compliance, stakeholder management, and operational risk during a period of structural change and sustained growth.
Under his leadership, the business achieved a 213% increase in auction turnover, 132% revenue growth, and a 188% uplift in EBITDA over seven years. He led several complex mandates, including one of Western Australia’s largest insolvency auctions for KPMG, generating $20M in proceeds with a 100% clearance rate. Jack also managed the strategic sale of Gregsons to Grays (a Quadrant Private Equity portfolio company), securing a full equity exit for the founding family and retention of all staff — demonstrating strong succession planning and transaction execution. The transformation positioned Gregsons as a national leader in the sale of mining and industrial assets.
Grays eCommerce Group Ltd
Chief Revenue Officer
As Commercial Director and Executive Team Member at Grays, Jack provided strategic and commercial leadership across a national business with significant operational scale and complexity. He led six business units comprising 45 staff (including six senior leaders), with accountability for divisional performance, capital allocation, operational efficiency, and cultural alignment. Jack was actively involved in board reporting, investment assessments, risk management, and governance planning, including engagement with government agencies and institutional stakeholders on multi-jurisdictional projects.
During his tenure, Jack led the acquisition and integration of two strategic businesses: an international mining equipment provider and a regulated property management firm. He introduced a new customer protection initiative that enhanced compliance, insurance coverage, and profitability, and oversaw a full-scale systems transformation that uplifted governance across customer data, digital workflows, and internal controls. He also spearheaded international market entry into New Zealand, the US, and the UK, managing regulatory structuring and compliance across multiple jurisdictions. Jack successfully delivered a board-endorsed turnaround and cost rationalisation initiative, positioning the business for renewed growth while reinforcing board-aligned decision-making and strategic resilience.
