PRO1001 – San Bernardino Moly/Copper
Opportunity to acquire a large-scale moly/copper project with minor amounts of silver and gold located in San Bernardino County, California
Location: San Bernardino County, California
Commodity: Moly/Copper w/ Silver & Gold
Stage: Exploration
Structure: Outright Sale
JORC/43-101: –
Size/Grade: Past Estimates, 60M tn oxide copper deposit @ 0.6%
Additional Notes:
- Indicated mineralized trend of at least 7,000 feet of strike length
- Jurassic to Cretaceous aged intrusive complex of biotite granodiorite, felsite, and quartz-feldspar granite
- Shear zone quartz vein hosted mineralization at surface, defining substantial pathway for fluid flow, representing the upper level or peripheral reflection of a moly/copper/silver/gold porphyry.
- Widespread chloritization and silicification, with potassic alteration occurring in intense zones and at depth in drilling.
- Molybdenum occurs primarily as molybdenite below the level of oxidation and ferrimolybdite in the oxidized zone. Copper is found as malachite in the oxide zone and as chalcopyrite both in the oxide zone and at depth. Cuprite and bornite have been identified in drill core of high-grade zones.
- Small drill programs have taken place in the 60’s, early 80’s, and most recently in 1998. Most holes have been short and shallow, with the deepest section drilled to approximately 350′ (110m).
- High-grade moly and copper samples at surface and in drill core of over 2% moly and 10% copper.
- The project has significant upside opportunities for discovery. Much of the potential extension is below a gravel pediment.
- Historical drilling has been very shallow and lends itself to finding the porphyry at depth as the alteration transitions to potassic.
- Both a copper oxide deposit as well as a moly/copper/silver/gold sulphide deposit are ripe for discovery and delineation.
- Past estimates, based on the limited work to date, outlined a potential 60 million-ton oxide copper deposit at 0.6% copper (800 million pounds of copper).
